The Broadway Sandwich
Mark Evans of The Sandwich Factory created this recipe as part of his entry for the British Sandwich Designer of the Year Award in 2004 and described the result as 'An American Deli Sandwich that Uncle Sam would be proud of!'
Ingredients
- Shallot Mayonnaise Mix
- 9g Mayonnaise
- 6g 5mm chopped shallots
- 25g Hot Suffolk Relish
- 55g Peppered pastrami
- 24g sliced vine ripened tomatoes
- 20g Escarole leaves
- 4g butter
Method
- Spread 2g of butter on each slice of bread.
- Spread 25g of Hot Suffolk Foods Relish on one slice and top with peppered pastrami.
- Add sliced vine ripened tomatoes, Ecarole leaves and spread a mix of the shallots and mayonnaise to the other slice of bread.
- Top, cut and serve.
