Laura Anthony's What the Butler Saw Cheddar & Beetroot Sandwich

Butlers Secret Vintage Cheddar and Beetroot and horseradish relish with red chard on a seeded rye bread.

Laura Anthony of Greencore Sandwiches in Worksop created the "What the Butler Saw Cheddar and Beetroot Sandwich " as her entry in the 2006 Sandwich Designer of the Year Awards category "H&B Butler’s Secret Cheese Sandwich Designer of the Year."

Congratulations to Laura on being a finalist. Here's how she did it and how you can do it too.

Ingredients

• 2 slices Seeded rye bread
  
• Butter
  
• Red chard lettuce
  
• Butler's Secret vintage cheddar shavings
  
• Beetroot and horseradish relish

Method

1. Butter the bread
   
2. On one slice add red chard lettuce
   
3. Add the shaved Butler's Secret vintage cheddar shavings
   
4. Top with the beetroot and horseradish relish
   
5. Finally add the second slice of bread, cut and serve
