Oriental Tuna Sandwich
This recipe was created by Louis McLoughlin and Catherine O’Doherty from Louis in County Derry, Northern Ireland, as part of their entry for The British Sandwich Designer of the Year Award 2004.
Ingredients
- MCM Deepblue tuna
- Selection of roasted peppers
- 1.5 teaspoons Mae Ploy sweet chilli sauce
- Red onion
- Selection of lettuce leaves
- Low fat mayonnaise and natural yoghurt
- Pink peppercorns and salt
- Chives
- Granary bread
Method
- Using chilled tuna, mix with sweet chilli sauce and chives
- Add pink peppercorns and salt
- Spread the low fat mayonnaise and low fat yoghurt on top of granary bread
- Spread tuna mix on top and add layer of finely cut red onions.
- Add a layer of roasted peppers and finish with a selection of lettuce leaves.
