Sweet Chilli Tuna
Tuna in a sweet chilli mayonnaise mix with salad on red pepper bread.
This sandwich was created by Andrea Ostrowska from sandwich manufacturer Gibsons in Ellesmere Port as her entry in the MCM Select Tuna Sandwich Designer of the Year Competition 2005 in which she was a finalist.
Ingredients & Method
- Red pepper bread – base
- Sunflower spread
- Sweet chilli tuna mayonnaise mix (on base) consisting of:
- tuna
- mayonnaise
- sweet chilli sauce
- natural yoghurt
- minced peppers
- minced red onion
- lemon juice
- black pepper
- starch
- Tomato – 4 slices
- Iceberg lettuce
- Spinach
- Mayonnaise – on lid
- Sunflower spread
- Red pepper bread – top
