Sarah Fielder Hot & Spicy Sausage in Yorkshire Pudding Roll

Not your typical sausage sarnie! Classic flavours of sausage and bacon get a tangy boost from the spicy dressing, rocket and caramelized onions.

Sarah Fielder of Buckingham Foods in Milton Keynes created the "Hot & Spicy Sausage in a Yorkshire Pudding Roll" as her entry in the 2006 Sandwich Designer of the Year Awards category "English Provender (Suffolk Foods) Hot & Spicy Sandwich Designer of the Year."

Congratulations to Sarah on being a finalist. Here's how she did it and how you can do it too.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Lightly spread butter onto Yorkshire pudding roll
  2. Mix Suffolk Foods Hot & Spicy Dressing, mayonnaise, and a touch of crème fraiche and then spread the dressing mix onto the roll.
  3. Place the Bacon on top of the dressing mix
  4. Place the sausage on top of the bacon
  5. Sprinkle the caramelized onion onto the sausage
  6. Finish with the Rocket

Asked what makes her creation stand out from the competition Sarah said:

"This Fantastic Hot & Spicy roll would be perfect for Winter either as a hot or cold eat for a trendy sandwich bar. Taken from the typically English flavors of Sausage & Bacon with a great twist from the hot & spicy relish to give a kick on those cold wintry days!"
